The Fresh Connection is an innovative web-based business simulation game. It engages participants in turning around a manufacturer of fruit juices. In teams of 4, participants will represent the functional roles of VP Purchasing, VP Operations, VP Supply Chain, and VP Sales. Participants will be confronted with various real-life, real-time dilemmas. Cross-functional understanding and collaboration are key components, as teams work together to turn the company around.

VP Purchasing

Manages selection of right suppliers for different components, reach on appropriate contract index, agreeing service-level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers and decides about collaboration options.

VP Operations

Must decide on capacity in warehouses and production areas, approve investment in bottling lines and mixers, introduces various    improvement projects and manage necessary KPIs.

VP Supply Chain

Manages inventories (safety stock, lot size settings) for different components & for finished goods, frozen period of production planning and decide about production intervals.

VP Sales

Agrees SLAs (service-level agreements) with customers that impacts contract index, manages the product and customer portfolio, manages shortage rule, forecasts demand and introduces collaboration concepts.
